I have 1850 & 1860 census - Lewis Staton, KY; Martha A, KY; children mostly as you listed. 1850, Perry County, Dist # 7, IL; 1860, Dallas County, Benton Twp, Missouri.

I don't see where you list the descendents of William N. Staton b Jun 3, 1843. IF your William N Staton b 1843 is the same as mine, his son is John Preston Staton b Sep 1868 in IL. John P Staton m Margaret Donalds 9 Jan 1889 in Jackson County, IL; they are my great grandparents. Note the continued use of the name Preston. My uncle was named Clifford Preston Donals. If these are the same, I can document Lewis T. Staton and Martha Ann Jones and their descendents down through my line.
Do you think these are the same? If so, where can I find documentation for the ancestors of Lewis P Staton and Martha Ann Jones? Is there a book? Priscilla Davis
