My ggf was Albert Cobble b. 1872 d. after 1937; he was the 9th of 10 children of Joseph Cobble b. 1827 and Mary Ann Brown of Greene Co.,TN. There is a problem I have with the ancestry beyond that. There were no fewer than three Joseph Cobbles living in Greene Co. in 1850. I have pinpointed the one who is my ancestor, and his birth year, through census records. It is, however, impossible to find out that way who his father was. Various family trees I have consulted online have had conflicting accounts of which Joseph was the son of Peter Cobble and Anne Kinser. I've even seen one who had the children of two of these Joseph Cobbles merged into one family!
If anyone has any definitive info or documentation they would like to share about this matter, I would greatly appreciate it.
