AMANDA JANE CRON was born May l2, l84l, near Piqua, Miami County, Ohio, the daughter of HENRY and NANCY CRON, one of ten children; all of whom have preceded her to the better world. December 3l, l868, she was united in marriage to FRANKLIN STATLER. Four children were born to this union: CLARABELLE, WILLIAM, SYLVA, and LAURA, the latter having passed away some years ago at Burlington, Iowa.

MRS. STATLER came to Decatur County l7 years ago and with her sunny disposition and loving kindness, won many friends. During the last twenty years she has not enjoyed good health and the past few years has not been able to get out among her friends and neighbors, but they stood loyally by her and brought much sunshine and joy into her life by their kindness. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was loved by her neighbors and idolized by her family and the passing of this good neighbor and best of mothers will bring sorrow indeed to all who loved her. MRS. STATLER was 8l years, 9 months and 2 days old at the time of her death. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, four children, CLARABELLE, of this city, WILLIAM, of Des Moines, Iowa; MRS. MELVIN STUMP, of Rogersville, Mo., 2 grandchildren, RUTH and FRANK STATLER, of Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral services at the home were conducted by Rev. Olmstead, Pastor of the Christian Church. Interment in Leon Cemetery.
A CARD -- We wish to thank the neighbors and friends for the kindness shown in our bereavement and the beautiful floral offerings.
