William Starrborn March 1744, died March 1843 Ohio, married Sarah Neal who died after 1840
I waS informed that William Starr, an Englishman, born place not noted, was pressed into British Service, at London, early in the Revolution and landed at Long Island, where he deserted from the British Army and changed his name to William Locke. He was allowed a pension and his application was executed August 25, 1832 while living in Ross township, Jefferson County, Ohio, in the amount of $100.
Listed in "Virginina Men in the Revolution", page 280 from Jefferson County, Ohio.
Supposedly only one child (daughter named Mary that married a Cummins) was born to Sarah and William.
This is not the William Starr I am looking for but there is much information provided online if you go to the Jefferson County, Ohio genealogy site or do a search.
