Hello Margaret,
I stumbled upon your research yesterday and whilst my line of inquiry is not direct to yours, there is a common link.
I have been trying to locate ancestors of Louis Starr - Who's son Dillwyn Parrish Starr served in WW1 with my Great Grandfather in the Cold Stream Guards. I have recently inherited my great Grandfathers WW1 War medals and with them a book called 'A Story of War- Dillwyn Parrish Starr'- by his father Louis. The book was published in 1917 and was only in private circulation - It tells Dillwyns story and was a personal gift signed by Louis to my great grandfather, who survived the war and for who Dilwynn served.
I am afraid I am not able to help with your direct line of searching, but thought you'd like to know that there are now Two of us trying to make links with the Starr family - Brother and Sister...
If you have any further information about surviving relatives, it would be appreciated.
Best Regards
Nick Walden
