Hannah Starr b. 1673
Can anyone shed more light on the following:
Isaac Follett b. 30 Jul 1674 Salem, Essex, MA
d. aft. 1709
Married 13 Apr 1699 Salem, Essex, MA to
Hannah Starrb. 22 Jun 1673 Salem, Essex, MA
I have Isaac's parents and siblings, but would like to know parents of Hannah. I have seen sources that state her father could have been a Comfort Starr. Isaac's parents were Robert Follett b. abt 1625 and Persis Black b. abt. 1630. There were married in 1655 and lived in Salem. Robert owned property in the Cat Cove area of Salem Neck (by Winter Island). He is mentioned sometimes as a shoreman, husbandman and may have owned his own boat.
Folletts are also listed on the Upham map of Salem in 1692 as sharing a lot with the Gould, Meacham and Very Families. Some of the Follett Family later settled in Attleboro, MA. Hoping to find a connection with the Old World as no one has ever been able to pin down Robert Follett's parents. We think he was from Devon, England. There may also be a possible connection to John and William Follett who were in the Dover and Oyster River area of New Hampshire in the 1600s. This mentioned John Follett may be the same one who signed the document most commonly known as the Dover Combination in 1640. Other possible connection is to an Edward Follett, a Reverend in VA who lived in Henrico, VA. (possibly there as early as the 1650s. His father was Sir John Folliott and Elizabeth Aylmer). Does any of this ring a bell with someone? Thanks.
Debra
