John Thornberry

Susannah Starnes was born ca. 1776 in Greeneville, TN. She was most likely the daughter of Peter Starnes. She married John Thornberry, Sr. on May 23, 1793 in Greene Co., TN. Susannah Starnes died in ca. 1834 in Floyd Co., KY. They had the following children:

1. Issac
2. Henry
3. Anna
4. Elizabeth
5. John, Jr.
6. Martin
7. Jinsey
8. Cynthia
9. Nancy
10. Walter
11. Edward
12. Rachel
13. George

Peter Starnes (ca. 1756-1830 is the son of Thomas Starnes (1734-1818). The co-author of the Starnes Book "Of Them That Left a Name Behind", Gerald (Gerry) Starnes descends from this line. I will send him your information and I'm sure he will give you all the proof you need.
