Congratulations Jennie on proving the marriage of William Faulk to Avy Coleman. That does clear up one possible connection for Faitha Starling to the Faulk Clan.
So now we are down to three possibilities I can think of:
1) Faitha/Faithy and John Faulk are married and have childrenAlva D and William M
2) Faitha and John Faulk are married and are raising the children of a deceased Faulk brother.
3) John Faulk married an unknown woman, had children with her, Faitha is either second wife or housekeeper to help raise the children..
And there is the fourth option that they never married and they only lived together.
Have you checked the pension applications for the Indian Wars to see if Faitha applied for a pension for John's serivce? He is bound to have fought in one of the Seminole wars and there several others in Georgia and Alabama all of which allowed pensions for the men who fought in the wars or their widows.
There is also the War of 1812.I know there is doubt if she is old enough to have seen that war but what about John?
Have you searched for the obituaries for William and Alva to see what it says about their parents?
Have you checked the Deed records in Macon, Bibb County Georgia for John to see if the dower rights were released by Faitha? That would proved that she was his wife.Have you found the estate records for John to see how the estate was settled? If she received 1/3 of the estate then they had children. If she received 1/2 the rest went to his parents and siblings they had no children.
