Starks of Scott Co, IN

I have a Thomas Dickey that married Eunice Stark(s) in Clark Co, IN and moved to Scott Co, IN by 1820. I would like to know if I should be looking for STARK or STARKS. It is my belief that the 'S' was added, but I may be wrong. Any thoughts would be welcome. According to the 1820 Scott Co, IN Census there was a Jonathan Stark recorded on the same page as Thomas and Eunice. Trying to determine with Jonathan might be Eunice's father.
