I am on a quest to find out why my great grandfather John W. L. WARD's body was taken to Marvell, Phillips Co. Arkansas when he died in 1909 ? He and his wife and daughters were libving in Shelby Co. TN [just outside Memphis] I have a copy of the buriel permit from the Shelby Co. TN archives. Also where was he buried?
His wife was Emma TANT whose mother was Susan Elizabeth STARKEY TANT.
His family had all moved to Madison Co., Alabama.
The STARKEY family are the only ones I can find whose members migrated to Arkansas.
Does anyone know of any STARKEY's in the Phillips Co. area in 1909?
