Alva Starkey born 9-7-1862 Gibson Co., IN. Went to TX 1886, married Martha E. Evana, died before Jan 20, 1942 Baylor Co., TX. Five children, two predeceased Alva, survivors were widow and Mrs. C.E. Henderson, Houston, Ernest Eugene Starkey of Seymour, TX and John Elmer Starkey of Oklahoma. One brother and two sisters survived Alva. They were John Starkey of Olney; Mrs. Ella Frontman of Detroit, Mich; and Mrs. Rosa Shubert of Okeene, Okla.
I am not a descendant of above family; however, one of his descendants, Myrtle Ethel Starkey, married Hubert P. Blanton. Myrtle died 9-22-1972 and is buried in San Antonio.
