The Helon M. STARK whose marriage to Katy H. SMITH was recorded in 1875, in Tuscola Co., MI, apparently was descended from Henry Mead STARK. Henry Mead STARK & Fanny Perry FERGUSON arrived in Eagle, Clinton Co., MI, by 1840. Son Helon Mead STARK m. Feb. 1840, Portland, Ionia Co., MI, Rebekah KILBOURN. About 1861, some moved to Bay and Saginaw Counties, joining Peter C. ANDRE of Saginaw, who had m. 1846, Clarissa STARK. Helon's son Fredk. Granger STARK settled in Pinconning , married, and raised eight children as a fisherman, farmer, and blacksmith. Helon's sons Harold F. & Edwin P. operated a cigar store. Next generation George W. STARK was a carpenter. In the mid-1880's some moved to Cincinnati.
