I don't see her on Emibas, so I'm not sure about her relationship to the family. Emihamn doesn't explain. She "might" be this person who left from a different parish at that time. This is from Emibas. This girl didn't use Stark but Andersdotter means daughter of Anders, so that fits well. It also fits well that she was born in Hjulsjö parish, where the Anders Stark family came from. What doesn't fit is the date she supposedly registered to leave Nora Stadsförsamling (Nora town parish), but dates were often misread by the transcribers for Emibas. (Dates were usually written in numerals, which the priests often scribbled.) Of course the person found on Emihamn named Hilma wasn't listed with a last name, which makes this search more difficult. I don't see the following Hilma Karolina in the birth records, so the date of birth or parish or both are probably incorrect. I don't have time to go through the parish records in great detail (They are online for a fee on the Genline site, among others, but it takes time to search.) but maybe Anders Stark had a daughter who fits. Post 884012 Andersdotter, Hilma Karolina Piga = maid. (unmarried woman) b. 2/20/1860 in Hjulsjö, Örebro län (Västmanland) Emigrated 8/8/1882 from Nora Stad, Nora stadsförs, Örebro län (Västmanland) to Nordamerika Source: Household Examination Roll, p. 125 Emibas migration file ID: Nora stadsförs T 1882 023 Ask for help on the Sweden forum. Type Sweden into the "Jump to Forum" space on the top right of this page. Perhaps this Hilma will be found with the family in records of the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center. The Swenson Center has a website but its extensive collection of records is NOT online. We need to go there to research or pay them to research for us. They have records which are difficult or even impossible to find elsewhere and many of us have solved difficult problems there. http://www.augustana.edu/swenson/ Judy Notify Administrator about this message?
