FamilySearch database of the 1880 Census, Keokuk, Lee, IA, shows, alone, John STARK, 65, he & parents born in Scotland. He was also alone there in 1870. In 1860, Keokuk, there were STARK: John, 54; Kate, 40; Joseph, 18; John, 17; & Christina, 15. Since the children were born in the 1840's, they must have been by a prior marriage. Did John have a prior marriage, or did the children actually belong to Catherine & Thomas AIKEN?

[My STARK is from Aaron, not from this line.]
