I am looking for biographical information about James H. Stark, a gentleman and writer, author of the important study THE LOYALISTS OF MASSACHUSETTS. He lived in Dorchester MA, in the second half of the 19th century and died ca. 1920. A date of death would be particularly useful as a starting point in my search of the local papers for an obituary. I am especially interested in Stark's origin (some say that he was originally from England, and an immigrant to the US) and his motivation for writing this book.
