FamilySearch database of the 1880 Census, Hamburg Twp., Vernon Co., WI, STARK:

John, 59, he & parents b. Bavaria
Wf. Anna, 53, she & parents b. Hessen
Ch. b. WI: Elisabeth, 21; Helena, 16; Edward, 12; Mathias, 10; Louie, 6
Married son: Adam, 24, b. MD; his wf. Martha, 21, WI, her parents b. Prussia.

Johan and wife are buried in the Stark Plot in Hamburg Twp., one and one-fourth mile north of Brinkman Ridge Road west of Zielow? Lane, with daughters Christine, d. 8 Jan. 1868, aged 7, & Mary, d. 13 Sep. 1872, 1. There are no dates for Johan and Anna Katharina. The only other name there is Anna RITTER, no dates {Anna's mother?}.

Also in Hamburg Twp., St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Cemetery:

STARK, Edward (28 Mar. 1867 - 29 Aug. 1919) & wf. Maria (14 Mar. 1868 - 13 Dec. 1952) with Edward J. (21 Aug. 1907 - 22 Aug. 1907).

George M. STARK (20 Oct. 1848 - 9 Feb. 1920)
Armin F. E. (30 Aug. 1897 - 31 Aug. 1921)
Carl A. (1879 - 1945).

John STARK (9 Feb. 1847 - 10 May 1920).

I don't see your STARK or RITTER families in the 1884 History of Vernon Co. Mine were the "other" STARK family of Vernon County, from New England and living at Viroqua.

Have you found the marriage record with the county of marriage? Have you checked other censuses?
