I'm trying to reconcile the FamilySearch database of the 1880 Census, Franklin Twp., Miller Co., MO. Miller County was formed in 1837, and Miller annexed part of Morgan in 1860. M., 2; & James M., 1. S. J. [Samuel J.] STARK, 28, MO SC KY; wf. N. A., 19, MO NJ MO; son R. E., 10 mos; mo-in-law R. L. HARVEY, 60, MO NJ SC. W. S. [Wm. Shelton] STARK, 28, MO TN KY; M. A., 32, TN TN KY; ch. b. MO: Jas. H., 9; dau. L. J., 7; son J. A., 5; daus. J. L., 4; S. C., 2; W. A. N., 4 mos. Charles STARK (10 Dec. 1802, Newberry Dist., SC - 22 July 1882, Morgan/Miller Co., MO; bu. Dooley Cem., Franklin Twp.) m1. 12 Je. 1823, Cole Co., MO, Sally AMOS (ca. 1803 - 1835) & had James, Benj. Amos, Elizabeth, Rebecca, & Nancy. The eldest son, James, must be the one you mean. Notice that the entry for Charles and for the father of S. J. say b. SC; father of L. M. & W. S. b. TN. [ :-)] Charles STARK m2. 13 Je. 1836, Morgan Co., MO, & had Mary, Sarah, Margaret, Vianna, Eliza Jane, Lewis Manes, Samuel J., Wm. Shelton, Martha E., John Daniel, Permelia Ann, Elvira, & Elisha Vaughan. William Shelton STARK m. Oct. 1870, Miller Co., Marianne / Mary Ann BROWN, and had eldest son James Harvey STARK (1871 - 1932).
