This is the indentured agreement I found in Charles City Co,
VA Colonial Abstracts, Vol 11, Court Orders 1658-1661 by Beverley Fleet, Richmond, VA
page 215. Whereas Wm Tottersell now servt to mr Antho: Wyatt and Joseph Stepp now servt to Capt Thomas Stegge came into this Country w'thout Covent apper-rit on their part for their service. And whereas by lre of mr John Bird of London a Credible man, and a sealed contract on his parts, it appereth that the agreemt w'th the sd servts parents or other friends was for eight yeares each of them: Itt is therefore ordered that the sd Tottersell and Stepp shall serve and complete the time of eight yeares aforesd from their arriveall, except an agreemt shalbe produced and proved from England for a different time.
