DOB not shown and 1870 and 1880 census shows Edmund Stanton not living in New York City.In 1868 his petition for naturalization shows him living at 11 Carlisle St.NYC. James Stanton was his witness,and Edmund was his witness for naruralization.I am assuming they were related,with the same last name. I am trying to find out where from Ireland James came from.
