Hi David;
I just couldn't resist replying to a Lord! However, I don't have your answer, but perhaps a question.
First question might be what is a guy with a widow doing getting married? Generally, one has to be dead to have a widow.
I do show that Dr. Lord's youngest child was a Dorothy, baptised in 1629. You'd have more on her than I.
No one in the Thomas Stanton Society has produced any connections to the Virginia Stantons. Then again, there isn't a proven relationship with the Rhode Island line of Robert Stanton either, not to say there couldn't be.
I encounted and recorded once another New England Stanton family information provided by Bob Coomber or Rochester, NY. The father was Thomas, b. ca.1585, the wife was Dorothy, with children Thomas, Ann, William b. ca. 1623, John, Robert and Dorothy. His posting may still be around. He was writing against the "Longbridge Theory" of the origin of our Thomas Stanton.
Best of Luck,
Ron Stanton
