In a diary written by John Osborne the diarist in Mecklenburg co.,NC 1819-1821 there were several mentions of a Jesse Stansill & Jno Stansill. This is very exciting for me as you will see in the listing below.
Sat. Dec. 11, 1819 -
My wife & I sot out & rode up to 2 small plantations I have about 9 miles off where Wm. Kiziah now lives, we settled about the rent of the places & he paid me all but $42 & 62 1/2 cents. then we went over to Jesse Stansills (her fathers ) there we staid till morning only a little while over at a house of mine where Jno Stansill now lives.
I believe that "her fathers" might belong to my Sarah born abt. 1785 and who was married to John Osborne the diarist. Does anyone have any info on this. You can see more abt. these 2 diary's at:
