Hi I am looking for any information about Ella Stanfield/etc, twin to Emma Stanfield/etc. They were born in abt 1852-53. The 1860 Neshoba Springs, Neshoba, MS lists them as born in AL, but all other census records for Emma (as well as the 1870 Griffin, Spalding, GA census for Ella and Emma) list them as born in GA. They had a younger brother, William F Stanfield/etc born Feb 1, 1855 in GA.
Their parents were perhaps JOSEPH? and Eliza Adeline C (maiden name unsure but perhaps started with a B--could be Belisle or Bailey) Stanfield.
On the Griffin, Spalding Co, GA census William, Emma, and Ella are listed as living with their mother, now Eliza (Elizah on the census)Jordan. She married Zachariah Jordan approximately 1856. They are listed on the Neshoba Springs, Neshoba Co 1860 census together with one of his children (William), 2 of their children, and Eliza's three children.
Zachariah has died by the 1870 census, so Eliza (Elizah) is listed as head with her and Zachariah's children, William F Stanfield, as well as Emma and J E Cunningham and Ella and Burnard Mariah (do not believe this is the correct spelling for his last name); and Ella and Burnard's young son M T.
I have tried every spelling/surname I can think of to find Ella and Burnard/Bernard/Burnad/etc on later census records. If anyone might have information on twin girls of any Stan*** that might fit this family or on an Ella M(??), I would be very grateful for some insight.
Thank you very much. Sue
