BTW the Civil War pensions are supposed to be scanned and put online someday. Some already are at Footnote.com but there's no telling how long it may take for the rest to be online.
The Berks County Genealogical Society, Berks County Historical Society and possibly the Boyertown Historical Society may be able to help in locating church records of the family.
