I am seeking further information on the parents of Avilda B. Reed who married John B. Stanley. John and Avilda were born in or about the year 1830. Avilda was included in the household of Josiah and Martha Cunningham in 1850. Avilda's surname was listed as Reed.
My g-g-g-grandfather was Avilda's brother, John C. Reed b. 1822. John's 1911 death certificate listed his parents names as Martha Cunningham and George Reed. It is unknown whether Martha was actually married to this George Reed at one point in time.
Avilda B. Stanley may have listed Cunningham as her maiden name. If anyone is researching this particular line of Stanleys, I'd love to hear from them.
