I had a look at Census records and think I found James A & Martha Stanley in 1900 ( Hope its right family )
1900 Galena Ward 3, Cherokee, Kansas
William R Stanley b May 1861 Missouri ( widowed ) Mining
Rosa L b Dec 1884 Missouri
Jessie M b May 1886 Missouri
Clyde J b Nov 1887 Missouri
Ida M b Sept 1889 Missouri
Odes b Dec 1891 Missouri
Homer L b Mar 1894 Missouri
James A Stanley b Sept 1829 Tennesse
Martha A b Oct 1833 Tennesse
Its says they married in 1858 they had 2 children only one living .it looks like they were mining as occupation
