Hi Debbie,
I am researching my grandson's family 'Stangoe' and was very interested in your message and the follow up one.
I found a Hannah Stangoe Willis, a student at a college in Ripon aged 10 and a boarder, on a 1891 census for Ripon.
I have got back to Peter Stangoe and Mary Rudsdale who were married in 1826 in Danby, and had 11 children of which Robert b.1845 was my grandson's Grt.Grt.Grandfather. Peter, who was born in 1798 was possibly your John's brother so I am interested in the other Stangoes you have info on.
