Sorry. As noted, I have lots on James Manuel Standridge's ancestors, but zippo on descendants. As a rule of thumb, if you were the average person, your g-grandfather would have been born about 66-75 years before you were. JMS was born in 1876, so if you were born between 1942 and 1951, he'd be a good candidate. However, for specific individuals, there can be a lot of plus or minus on that rule of thumb.
Family legend says that a lot of Standridges married Cherokees, but I don't know. It will be hard to prove or disprove, because so many Cherokee people adopted Anglo names. Most of northwest Arkansas was briefly a Cherokee reservation at one time.
The closest thing to evidence that I know of is this:
"In 1832 lived on Long Creek below Carrollton Martin Standridge, his father, 'Shotgun' Jerry Meeks and his brother 'Blue' Jacob Meeks, 'Black' Squire Blevins, Richard and Sam Blevins, and others of Cherokee and English descent, whose society was not appreciated by their neighbors." -- History of Carroll County, Arkansas by H. Klute Braswell, Pg 335, as quoted in Martin and Katherine Standridge by C.L. Boyd, Pg 1.
