I am researching my BRYAN family genealogy. Have
been told that Onicypherous STANDLEY married Mary
"Polly" Stratton BRYAN abt 1795 in KY, maybe in
Logan County. Onicypherous STANDLEY was born in
1768 in Tryon Co., NC (Tryon Co. only lasted a few years), the son of John STANDLEY who was born
in 1745 in England.
Onicypherous STANDLEY (often spelled STANDLEE)
and Mary "Polly" Stratton BRYAN had the following
children: Cyphorus, b. abt 1795; David, b. 1796
in KY; Elizabeth, b. 1798 in KY; John, b. 20 Jun
1800 in Logan Co., KY; Hannah, b. 1802 in Logan
Co., KY; Sarah, b. 1803 in Logan Co., KY; Abraham, b. 4 Mar 1810 in Butler Co., KY; Jonas,
b. 1810-1820 (unknown); Susannah, b. 1816 in
Kaskaskia, Randolph Co., Illinois. Family moved
from Illinois to Missouri, then into Arkansas
where they settled in Carroll County where our
Onicypherous died and is buried in Blue Hole
Cemetery near Berryville, AR.
Our Mary "Polly" Stratton BRYAN, b. 1771 in VA
(place/county unknown), d. 1850, buried Carroll
Co., Arkansas. I need parents and siblings of
Mary, whether or not she was married before to a
'STRATTON' or if that was her mother's maiden
name or an ancestral family name, and any census
or tax list information. I would appreciate any
information one can provide me and I am willing
to share info I have. Thanks. Virginia
