William, Spencer, et.al. in Western Kentucky

Researching William Stan(d)ley and relatives who first show up in Muhlenberg Co. KY tax records (1805--) _and_ the 1810 census. Also interested in Spencer Standley (possibly a son of William) who appears in 1807 tax records and in the 1810 census.
The 1810 census indicates that William was born before 1865 and had two (teenage?) sons. From later tax records, it seems possible that the sons' names might be Lemuel, Stephen, William (Jr.) or James. There are _two_ Williams in the 1814 tax records (one has land and the other does not).
By 1820, this group (William, Spencer, James and Moses) are all in Hopkins County in the census. The William who shows up at this point is a younger man with a younger family.
The Moses who appears in these records came from Wayne/Duplin Co. NC by way of Tennessee (where his youngest son "West" was born in 1818). I am trying to prove (or disprove) that the William who appeared in Muhlenberg was the William who also appeared (along with Moses) in the 1811 Will of Moses Standley in Wayne Co., NC
