I'm studying this line as well. This morning I'm re-reading something I came across recently, and thought I'd post it here to see if you or other family researchers had come across it.
From the ArkansasTies website in reference to the Arkansas Gazette 1819-1930.
THE undersigned having obtained from the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the county of Conway, in the territory of Arkansas, on the 18th day of July 1827, Letters of Administration on the estate of John Standlee, jun. deceased; and also, Letters of Administration on the estate of John Standlee, senior, deceased, with a will annexed, hereby gives notice, to all persons having just demands against either of said estates, to exhibit them to him, properly authenticated, within one year from the date of said Letters of Administration, or they may be precluded from deriving any benefit from said estates; and if said claims be not exhibited as aforesaid, within five years, they will be for ever barred.
Wm. Standlee, Adm'r. of John Standlee Jr. & John Standlee, sen. dec'd.
Conway County, Cadron Township
October 24, 1827
Has anyone been able to find the will that is referred to?
