Abraham Standlee who was married to Elizabeth Parchment (daughter of John Parchment) of Stewart Co., TN was the son of David Standley/Standlee Jr. and Esther Tagert. Esther was the daughter of John Tagert. There is a deed in Logan Co., KY in which John Tagert gives his daughter Esther Standley household goods. I believe this was in either 1793 or 1794.
There is a case of disputed land records in the Illinois Territorial Papers that include Abraham Standley, David Standley, David Standley Jr. and John Standley. Abraham under deposition states that David Standley was his father, David Standley Jr. and John Standley were his brothers. He also states that Jacob McCarty was his brother-in-law. Jacob McCarty is our line. You can find his will in 1812 in Stewart Co., TN, with a John Parchment (his neighbor) as one of his witnesses. The same John Parchement who is the grandfather of your Abraham Standlee.
The John Tagert that was the father of Esther Standley, can also be found in the 1800 census for Montgomery Co., TN along with our Jacob McCarty. Jacob also had a daughter Sarah, who married James Tagert, who hails from Tryon Co., NC. There was also a John Tagert who was the sheriff of Tryon Co., NC, which could very well be Esther's father or possible relative.
