Ok All you wonderful Standlee Researchers -
Has anyone cleared up the speculations with Onicypherous [Cypherous, Siforas, etc] Standlee & his relations to the Native Americans & John Standlee?
I can trace him & John from 1800 to about 1820 moving from KY to IL. After IL I seem to loose John & follow only Onicypherous & his children into MO to Carroll Co., AR.
Before 1800 I find nothing on Onicypherous & after 1818 I find nothing on John Standlee.
IF John Standlee is indeed his father then why all the sudden does his leave the travel path with his son to go all out on his own to central AR?
The John Standlee in central AR has a wife Sarah & children. The John Standlee that followed through with Onicypherous only appears to have a wife & 1 child.
Could this be where all the confussion is?
Help! I am so desparate here!
