I have a William Standlee, born 1817 in Cumberland City, Stewart Co., TN, married to Candace with son Lorenzo Dow born 1841, John, born 1845, dau Elizabeth born 1847, Frances b. 1849, M. A. b. 1853, and C. B. b. 1855. This William was son of Abraham Standlee and Elizabeth Parchman, my great great grand parents. This seems to fit. Abraham and his son - my great grandfather - were living in nearby Center Point, Sevier Co., AR at the time.

If this is your William, I have considerable Standlee information down to the present time which I would be happy to give you.
