To my knowledge, Peggy Seidler has collected at least a dozen 1909 Guion Miller Roll applications from descendents of Onicypherous Standlee 1768NC-1855AR, listing either him or one of his children as their Cherokee ancestor. One application indicates he was 1/2 blood. Seven of the applications are from PYLE descendents through his daughter, Hannah Standlee/Pyle 1802KY-1876MO. The rest are descendents of his son John Standlee 1800KY-1878AR, and include the names ELKINS, OWENS, BUTLER, and SHULTZ. All of the applications were rejected as their Standlee ancestors were not living on a reservation in 1835, which was reqired to be eligible for the court-awarded money in 1909. We are still digging in the hopes of finding someone from this family that might have stayed with the tribe. However, she has over 360 Standlee/Stanley individuals in her data at gencircles.com/users/seidler/1, so it's a great cross-reference for the Standlee/Stanley name.
