Hi,

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply; life interferes!
I wasn't at the Calgary reunion, unfortunately. My parents were, with my Grandfather: George, Jane (Standish) & Steve Edgar.
We're G.2.3.3, so, yes, we're some kind of cousins with the same Great Grandparents.
The funny thing is, we could be doubly related.
My father's mother's maiden name was: Somerville. One less "M", but that's usually an 'Ellis Island like' typo :-)
So, we most definitely carry the same mitochondrial DNA.
I would like to see some of my male relatives do a test, but they aren't that interested... Yet.

Have you had any success in talking people into taking the test?
