The Mrs. W.J. Standefer you have inquired about was the wife, Cornelia May (Smith)("Nelia") b. 5 Jun 1882, who married my grandfather, Joseph F. Stanifer's brother, William Joshua Standifer, 3 Jun 1898, probably in McMinn Co., TN, where the Stanifer family lived. Great Uncle "Josh" changed the spelling of the name to Standeffer (supposedly the original spelling) when he moved his family to Jasper, AL.
