I, too, saw Edith listed on the Knox Co. census, while searching for E. A. Stancil, a name listed as a friend by my grandfather in his WWI Journal. He was listed by my grandfather as being from Munday, Knox Co., Texas.I recently received a copy of the journal and am busy looking up all my grandfather's buddies.
I found him on the 1920 census in Stamford, Knox Co., Tx, and it's probably your Mr. Stancill on the 1910 cenus in Jack Co., TX.I also found his draft registration card and his burial record for the veteran's cemetery in Kerrville, Texas. You might have already known all this, or have found itsince you posted the note at this board. You may also have found some info that I just did at ancestry.com, about his family line; there's even a picture of Mr. Stancill's father, taken before his marriage.
