This might help someone.

Feb. 8, 1918 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Lieut. Y. Stamps was burned to death yesterday afternoon at the Post Field, Fort Sill School of Aerial Observers when the machine made a nose dive and burst into flames as it struck the ground.

Stamps enlisted at Atlanta, GA and was 24 years old. He was commissioned at Camp Gordon, GA. His wife had just joined him here, and this was his last flight here, as he had finished his training as an observer when the accident occurred.
