In Benjamin Watts Revolutionary War Pension file, he states he came to St. Clair Co., IL abt. 1813-1814. I don't have proof that Mary (Polly) came with the family. I do have a Mary (Polly) Watts married to William Moore on 12 Dec 1814 in St. Clair Co., IL, with a William Moore living near Benjamin on the 1818 IL Census with correct ages. This is not to say it's Benjamin's daughter. In 1843 after the death of Benjamin Watts & Elizabeth Key, their son Benjamin Jr. filed for children's pension and named all living children of Benjamin & Elizabeth, including his 2 brothers who stayed in Georgia. This tells me that Mary was deceased before 1843, which fits with the William Moore records. As you can see my evidence is not conclusive and I am trying to prove it one way or the other. There was another daughter Susannah that was thought to have been married to a Seay in Georgia, but she too was married and had a family in St. Clair Co., IL with Peter Wright. I will tell you I have not been able to tie up Benjamin's siblings families. There was a brother Thomas who died before 1805 in Georgia possibly Greene Co. and I believe Benjamin may have been guardian for the children. I wish I could help more.
