My family took on Britton Stamps last name. My ancestors were slaves of Britton Stamps. The Britton Stamps that I am looking for married Mary (Polly) Sanders. The only thing that I have regarding him is that he was the Asst Marshall of Chambers and Butler County in Alabama and that he was born 12/13/1791 in Oglethorpe County GA. Please if you have anything else please let me know. I am truly interested in the slave documentation. The slaves that I am a descendant of are Spencer STAMPS and Sarah. Sarah's maiden name is unknown but she is believed to be born in GA. Thank you for any information.
