My great grandmother was Lou Stroud who married Hugh Clayton. Lou STroud's mother was Adaline Thaxton, daughter of Wilburn Thaxton and Susan Hash. The Hash lines and Stampers intersect. I am just beginning to (maybe) solve the mystery of these families. The Strouds have good records, but none of Hugh Clayton or of Adaline Thaxton's mother, Susan Hash.
