STAMPER/LYONS in Kentucky
I am researching my grandmother's parents, George Washington STAMPER and Ollie LYONS. GW Stamper was the son of Jackson Stamper and Susan Fannin. I have the Stampers pretty well figured out, but need help on the Lyons. Anything would be appreciated.
I am looking for information on an Ollie Lyons from Big Sandy, circa 1880. She may have been
fromLawrence, Boyd, Carter, Fleming, Greenup, Morgan or Elliott County, KY.

She was born in Olive Hill, KY, March 9, 1858. Her father has been identified as George Lyons. Her mother was a Gilbert, first name unknown. Ollie married George Washington STAMPER on January 2, 1882, supposedly in Carter County. She met him on a visit to Smokey Valley, seven months before their marriage. While still living in Carter County, they had two children, Albert (June 1883) and Louis (Feb 1885). In March of 1885 they moved to Dodge City, KS. After moving on to Missouri for a couple of years, they finally settled in Texas. Ollie died of cancer in 1927 and is buried in San Antonio, TX.
