1)PHILIP STAMBAUGH, b. 1803, possibly Perry Co., PA, and son of Johann Philipp Stambach and Anna Catharina Fosselmann, early pioneers in Mahoning Co., OH.Philip married HANNAH PILE (PFEIL)about 1825 in Mahoning Co., OH.Hannah, born in 1803, was the daughter of Johann Heinrich Pile (Pfeil) and his wife, Maria Gertraudt Althaus, early pioneers in Green Twp., Mahoning (Columbiana) Co., OH.The family was affiliated with the Boardman Dutch Church.Philip Stambaugh died 12 Dec 1870 Poland Twp., Mahoning Co., OH, and his wife, Hannah, died 1832/1834 Poland Twp., Mahoning Co., OH.Both are buried in the Boardman Dutch Church Cemetery near his parents.The couple are believe to have had at least two children who lived to marry:MARYetta, who married Aaron J. WYMER, and Sarah Adeline who married Theodore J. HARRIS 3 July 1851 Mahoning Co., OH.
2)JEREMIAH STAMBAUGH, b. 10 May 1817 in PA; married ELIZABETH WISE (WEISS) in 1841 Mahoning Co., OH; died 13 Jun 1880 Mahoning Co., OH.Elizabeth, his wife, was born about 1820 in Austintown Twp., Mahoning Co., OH, the dau. of Jacob WISE (WEISS) and his wife, Priscilla PILE (PFEIL).They are believed to have been the parents of the following children who lived to maturity:Jacob E. Stambaugh, b. 29 Apr 1846 Brier Hill, Mahoning Co., OH, and Charles H. Stambaugh, b. Mahoning Co., OH.
