Hi Vivien,

Thank you so much for replying. As I have said before Albert Stallion Snr was my Fathers Godfather. I think my father and Albert Jnr must have been friends because he would talk about him being a Bookmaker (that is why I thought Albert Snr started Stallion's). My Grandmother would talk about Albert Stallion (I do not know why, but she always called him by his full name) She would tell stories of Parties and dances they went to back in the 1920's and I think the families must have been close at one time. My grandparents split up when my Father was about 5 years old. My Grandmother then took my Father to live in South London. My Grandmother Catherine Hoy(1898-1984) was born in Shoreditch, as was my Father Albert John Brown (1923-1994). I think my Grandfather Albert Brown was born in Bethnal Green about 1900. I never knew him, because my Grandmother and Father cut all ties with him. Needless to say, I am on the trail of my Grandfathers people. With a surname of Brown. This is difficult. I am however glad to Find out about Albert. Do you know where he was born, I am wondering if he was a friend of my Grandmother or my Grandfather or maybe both? Also what was his wifes name? My Grandmother would tell me stories and I have so many first names that were in them. Thank you again for the reply, it is wonderful to me that people I heard about at my Grandmothers knee are becoming real.

Sincerely,

Julia Mosteller
