I have just learned of a genetic trait prevalent in one line of our family which is called dentinogenesis imperfecta. The persons afflicted by this genetic anomaly are born with no enamel and their teeth are discolored due to the fact that the inside of the tooth is apparent. This sometimes leaves the teeth with a brown, grey, or in some cases a bluish tint. We have traced this gene to either the Love family or the Stalker family in our ancestory. The shape of the tooth is sometimes affected also. Instead of the tapered sharp tooth, they are sometimes bulbous in appearance. If you, or any member of your family has ever been affected by this gene, you are most likely related to our line. If so, we may be able to get past our brickwall with your help. Please contact me at grane24@kayserv.net if you have ever heard, or have knowledge of this genetic problem....or you can reply to this post. Your help is direly needed and will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Shirley Notify Administrator about this message?
