Hello Susan, happy to hear from you, and we are related.

I was recently in Switzerland with a Swiss cousin to verify our research as well as doing a DNA test which confirmed what we found. Check http://www.geocities.com/stehli04/ for only part of what I have learned and recorded. The Staley Syrup family at this point in time has not been verified as being part of our family. They probably are English in origin, but I did not do further research when I found they did not relate in any way with our genealogy.

Would like to khow more about your Staley line, because our extened family has not been recorded entirely. I have been finding family all over the country. You might also want to know we have cousins and relatives in the village, Maschwanden, Switzerland, where the three brothers were born.

I would be happy to share my research, and very happy you contacted me simply because of the extended family knowledge. If you can let me know your family genealogy, it would help. Do you work with software so that we can exchange files: GEDCOM, Family Tree Maker, for example. Or would you prefer PDF or a text file?

Regards,
Tom Staley
