I took the information you submitted to the STALCUP FORUM and did a look up in
my copy of the STALCUP FAMILY HISTORY.If I found the correct individual for
your father, here is what Jones shows:
Sylvan Joseph Stalcup was born 25 July in Vigo Co.,IN toJoseph Stalcup and Pearl
Nichols.His brother Robert K. Stalcup was born to the same parents 29 August 1907 in
Vigo County, IN.No data shown on Harry Brewer (half brother).
His father (Joseph Stalcup) was the son of Andrew Jackson Stalcup and Sarah E. Doty,
bornin January 1876 -- probably in Indiana. He married Pearl Nichols 30 July 1904 in
Vigo Co.,Indiana and died there 7 October 1909.

he marriedSarah Doty.A.J. Stalcup had a daughter Cassie (b-1865) by first wife as
well as sons Joseph (1876) and Basil (1879) by his second.Sarah was remarriedto
Charles Simons and living in Greene Co.,IN at the time of the 1880 Census.

that hadmigrated to Greene Co., Indiana by 1821. His wife Elizabeth Stalcup, was the
daughter of the head of another pioneer line, Isaac Stalcup (1765-1841).You can find
