I have just recently been researching the Stalcups. Woodford Catlin married Mary Jane Stalcup (Usher Stalcup's sister). Woodford and Mary Jane's son, Thomas Usher Stalcup, married my g-grandaunt, Lucretia Holden. Usher & some of his other siblings wrote affadavits for Mary Jane after Woodford's death so that she could get a Civil War pension.
