John Stahlman (1827-1855) Civil War service

John Stahlman was my husband's gggrandfather. We have been researching his Civil War service. Research at NARA shows that he was wounded at Gettysburg, wounded at Spotsylvania Court House (Po River?), and injured at the siege of Petersburg. Do any of his descendants have any photos or letters or other information on John's Civil War service? I would like to be in contact with any of John's descendants. I am particularly interested in contacting the descendants of Thomas Mervin Stahlman, MD (1875-1958), as Thomas was the executor of his mother's estate and there may have been photos etc. among her personal effects.
Thanks for any help you can provide - and I will gladly share what I've found with other descendants.
Kathy in Texas
