I found on the 1870 census in Fairforest Post Office Glenn Springs, Spartanburg SC, an Andy Wofford age 21 farmer b. SC, wife, Elizabeth age 21, b. SC. Also living in the household is a Malinda Staggs age 50, b. SC.
Who is this Malinda Staggs and was Elizabeth her daughter?
If so, who was Malinda's husband?
And who was Andy's parents? I have several Andrew Woffords in the tree, but none to fit this one.
I have a Willis Staggs b. ca. 1797SC who married my 4th great aunt Elizabeth Ford b. 1796 SC, the dtr of Manley Ford and Mary "Polly" Bishop. I have six children for Willis and Elizabeth, with 2 names unknown. Willis is believed to have been the son of Samuel Staggs
Elizabeth's nephew, Isaac Manley Ford married Sarah Ann Wofford.
